The AQA Level 3 Certificate in Applied Science is a vocational qualification designed to give learners the opportunity to develop a range of skills and techniques, personal skills and attributes essential for successful performance in working life. 

For the Extended Certificate (A level equivalent) you will follow 6 mandatory units over two years. All units must achieve at least a Pass.

Assessment Format

Six units - three externally assessed

Grades will be awarded at Pass, Merit, Distinction or Distinction*.

What can I do at the end of my course?

This course gives full-time learners the opportunity to enter employment in the science sector or to progress to vocational qualifications or other science-related qualifications.
